Product Templates & Printing Specifications
For the best results we recommend downloading a product template to assist you in preparing
your design for upload. Our templates are available in two formats. The JPG format works with almost all
image editing programs while the PSD format works best if you are using Adobe Photoshop. If
you don't have image editing software loaded on your computer you can see a list of free software
available for download.
What is the recommended resolution for my images? All images uploaded must fall somewhere between 100-200 ppi (pixels per inch) in resolution. 200 ppi is the recommended resolution for the best printing quality. Any image below 100 ppi will be automatically up-converted to 100 ppi during the upload process while images above 200ppi will be down-converted to 200ppi. There is no visible difference in printing quality for images above 200ppi. If you design your image from a template it will automatically be 200ppi and you will have the highest quality image possible without worrying about the PPI or other confusing technical jargon. What is the maximum print size? This is the maximum width and height (in inches) that we can print on each product. If your design is the same size as the maximum printing area it will print as large as possible on the product.
Anything special I should know when designing for "full bleed" products? If you are making a design for full bleed products such as cutting boards, mouse pads, or cork-bottom coasters and want your image to "bleed" off the edge of the product (with no white border) you must make your image exactly the same size as the maximum printing area.
