Basic vs. Premium Printing

We fulfill your on-demand orders using a variety of different printers. Each product we carry is printed with one of two print types, basic or premium printing.

Basic Printing

The big difference is that our basic printing or “light” printing process does not contain any white ink.

If you place an image containing white on a light classified shirt, the white does not print, the color of the shirt shows instead. This is great if you just have a white box around your image that you do not want to show up.  Since Basic Printing does not contain any white ink and is reserved for lighter apparel it is an inexpensive option if you’re on a budget.

Premium Printing

Premium printing is a double print proces just like Basic Printing that contains white ink.   Most of the options we offer premium printing are darker colored options, like black and navy.  Since these colors require underlays of white or double passes of printing there is a premium added to the shirt price.

If you don’t want big white squares on your dark apparel you’ll want to make sure you’re creating and uploading transparent PNG images, for more info check out Design Image Requirements.
